The Fernsehgarten is one of the most popular programmes, broadcast live from the Lerchenberg (ZDF headquarter in Mainz) since 1986. Up to 4.000 guests are present on location as the audience for each programme, during the summer months. The programme is introduced by Andrea Kiewel. The brief for this design was to integrate the location with the striking architecture with it’s honeycomb roof. It was from this form that the design language was derived, and the animation then transforms this shape into a radiating flower. A package was created that included opener, logo, backgrounds. In addition numerous merchandising products following the same design parameters have been created by us and ZDF.
